About Miroslav Vosatka:
Dr. Miroslav Vosatka is the founder of Eco-lodge Foundation, Czech Republic. He has studied biology and chemistry at Charles University of Prague, Czech Republic. Since that he has been working on fundamental and applied science projects focused on soil microbiology, organic farming and protection of ecological resources in Europe but also in numerous countries on several continents. He has also been teaching at several universities on topics of plant eco-physiology and microbial symbioses. He was involved in more than 60 national and international scientific projects and he was a director of the research Institute of Botany, Czech Academy of Sciences.
Beside the scientific career he has been involved in several projects on renewable energy resources mainly in Africa and due to his passion on mountaineering he has founded project Eco-lodge Nepal to help to educate owners of touristic lodges on eco-friendly maintenance of their enterprise. Project Eco-lodge aims to build model environment-friendly and minimum waste lodge in Langtang valley destroyed by 2015 earthquake. The Eco-lodge will integrate several eco-technologies including solar heating and cooking, bio-gas plant, hydro and wind power resource, greenhouse and composting unit to verify feasibility of installation at high altitude mountain lodges.
